Al Gore – new slideshow

April 10, 2008

The TED Talks are really great in general, but you have to see Al Gore giving his new (2008) slideshow (premiering) at TED. Nobel Peace Prize winner, Al Gore presents evidence that the pace of climate change may be even worse than scientists were recently predicting, and challenges us to act with a sense of “generational mission” — the kind of feeling that brought forth the civil rights movement — to set it right. Gore’s stirring presentation is followed by a Q&A in which he is asked for his verdict on the current political candidates’ climate policies and on what role he himself might play in future. (Recorded March 2008 in Monterey, California. Duration: 27:54.)

France

April 8, 2008

Went to Avoriaz for the Burton shoot and then to Cauterets for the Blank Paper shoot.

arriving late in Avoriaz sucks. You have to drag your stuff all the way through the town…

this is at 3am after following signs like “toutes direction” or “autres direction”, you can choose. could someone buy the french a bunch of signs that actually tell you where you re going?

on the other side, shooting late night in Avoriaz is fun, 1 am

playgrounds

April 8, 2008

Playgrounds can be unbelieveable boring… here are two great examples. One in France and one at the Denver Airport.

tear down this wall

March 27, 2008

well almost… blasting the AGFA building in Munich But the hectic people kinda reminded me on scenes when the berlin wall came down.agfa_cbp3770.jpg
agfa_cbp3771.jpg
agfa_cbp3786.jpgsomewhere in there, my friend Sami Tuoriniemi who got some amazing photos of the building coming down. Actually he wanted to shoot it on AGFA film, but I think he ran out of it or something… too bad but too late (as well for AGFA) agfa_cbp3777.jpg
agfa_cbp3792.jpgagfa_cbp3796.jpgagfa_cbp3801.jpgagfa_cbp3818.jpg the smoke is coming in, a good time to turn arround and go home or close your window now if you could watch it from your home
